Subject: {!name}, the pre launch strategy video is up.
Hi {!name},
I just uploaded the last pre-launch video for you…
Before I start, let me say how honored we are to have you as part of this fantastic group of professionals to help launch our site with.
The applications for our pre-launch list and the survey feedback has been both intelligent and constructive. I just wish we had room for everyone in the pre-launch group.
Unfortunately we have had to limit the group to a number that we can work with directly, this number was limited to consideration of our available resources at this stage.
Our view is why bother having a pre-launch group of customers if you cannot dedicate the resources to work closely with them.
I really have a good feeling about the peoplet we are going to be working with to launch the site.If our pre-launch customer community is any reflection of our successes to come then our future looks pretty bright indeed.
I have had a lot of questions directed at me personally asking why the launch is taking so long ? It seems everyone is sold already and they just want to get onto the application for their business.
The reason we have spread the launch across such a long period is we are still testing it in a hand full of live environments. We really wanted to establish a creditable list of early adopters or pre-launch customers who could get onto the application before the masses to put it under load for us.
This pre launch campaign was all about getting that group together and as mentioned its been an amazing success.We couldn’t be happier with the group we have ended up with.
We also wanted early users to report to the rest of you prior to the sites official launch later this year. We want these early adopters to have had at least 30 days on the application before capturing testimonies on film to show you in our product launch campaign.
So, although it’s frustrating, we needed to do this.
We genuinely want our early adopters to be able to tell both us and you exactly what they think of the application before we give access to the masses. We want to use this feedback to make the application even better for when the masses join.
You can learn more about our actual product launch by watching this video;

Now, I’ll be busy with our pre-launch customers who are going to be using the application over the next few weeks.
My boss will be keeping you all posted along the way on his blog, so if you haven’t subscribed already pop in to get updates from time to time.

Best of luck,
Abigale

Subject: {!name}, I just finished the front end of applications preview video{!name}
OK {!name},
I just finished the “Events Listed” front end application preview.This video shows the benefits that guests you invite to your events will enjoy between your events.
They all get their own interface as part of a community that evolved around your event(s), your guests can network amongst themselves, visit other event promotional pages, post photos, comment on yours and other events, purchase merchandise, and network amongst themselves, before, during and after, not just your events, but any events.
They can find the hottest clubs, parties, sporting events and theater tickets. They can buy tickets for themselves and send invitations to any events for friends to buy whilst building a fan club of their own.
They can even build out their own social event pages to commemorate any special events in there lives, from birthdays to graduations.
Quite simply, fans and guests of your event will also become a part of our larger event based community gaining access to all the best concert and sporting event tickets, invites to parties, night clubs and special events in there down time as well as conferences and seminars all in the one spot.
Your social network will revolve around your event pages so the better your events and the more you publish the larger your network.
Here take a look;
http://www.EventsListed.com/PreLaunch/eventslisted
Now there’s a lot of interesting things about this video, for me the benefit that excites me the most is the fact that if as an event planner, my guests can network as a community then each time I promote an event it has to become easier.Right?
Most business to business applications are tools you use to streamline your work. You will remember from the opening video that web 2.0 applications are platforms where the users generate content, where they enjoy communities of people that are interest specific.
What this means for you is that once you invite your customers to join your community within the application, the platform itself will transform these customers into a micro community within the ‘Events Listed’ greater network.
What’s really cool about that is, their interests are being taken care of whilst keeping them together as a group of like minds. All in the one place, a place where its not only easy to find them each time you hold an event, its even easier to inform them about it with the click of your mouse finger.
You will see what I mean when you watch the video http://www.EventsListed.com/PreLaunch/promoting-ticketing-commissions
Best of luck,
Abigale
P.S. This is the second last of our pre-launch preview videos.Enjoy it and look out for the last one coming your way in a day
or two. The next video is one you don’t want to miss.

Subject: {!name}, how was your weekend, I bet you worked?
{!name},
If you just had a busy weekend of event planning or you are preparing for one this weekend… then here’s to you.
I am testing the application on a conference for 2000 people this weekend. As you can imagine I’m very busy, so unfortunately I need to be as short and sweet as possible with this email!
Here’s ANOTHER video that will give an insight to how I am managing my time in a way that enables me to make videos for you in my spare time, whilst organizing a huge event for 2000 attendees.
It’s easy when you have the right tools. I design and send 2000 invitations with the click of a finger. I leave guests to view the schedule of speakers and give feedback through online surveys regarding networking sessions and menus. This all happens on auto pilot whilst at the same time creating a buzz amongst the attendees who can all RSVP and purchase tickets online without need for any direct assistance.
Here check this out;

Oh, and this is my “make good” offer I mentioned about you potentially coming on board as early adopters or our pre-launch customers.
Personally, I think you should be immortalized as foundation customers if an early adopter and the site takes off to become a huge success. You should be crowned with certain type status. I’m thinking about it.
If you are thinking of joining our pre-launch list please feel welcome to apply by adding your name and email address into the forms that you will notice are sitting on the page, under the remainder of the video’s. I am going to send you to one right now;
http://www.EventsListed.com/PreLaunch/task-management-budgeting
Best of Luck,
Abigale
P.S. Once the pre launch customer list is finalized I will send you a link to complete a quick survey form. I really want your feedback about the plan for the site and how you think we can best immortalize pre-launch customers as our new communities early adopters and thought leaders.

Subject: {!name}, have you ever worked on something so hard that your just not sure anymore.
{!name},
You know how sometimes if you work on something REALLY hard you become so obsessed with it that after a while you just can’t tell whether what you have been doing is actually any good or not?
Well, I have to be honest with you… last week I worked so hard on these “preview videos” that by the time I released them the other night I just wasn’t sure about them.
You see, I have thought all along that what we have been working on, I mean this special team I am a part of have worked really hard for months now, we have all felt what we have put together was really good… but after working for 6 months straight I have become so close to it all that I just wasn’t sure anymore.
Even though we have had such positive feedback from some of the biggest names in the industry and although we have been made an offer to sell the application for huge money already, I got cold feet the night I sent these videos out to you guys.
I started worrying that maybe the whole concept would fly over peoples’ heads. Or maybe the videos were too long with not enough detail or information for people to watch online.
Well, I’m feeling pretty amazing right now. Because the comments I’ve been getting about the video are something else. I mean, they’re not all completely 100% positive… but it’s running pretty good at 97.9% of you people are loving them.
You always get a few average or negative comments but you have to expect that, I mean who ever pleased everyone and got away with it?
If you haven’t seen the videos yet, you can see them here:

P.S. I never get sick of hearing that my work is having a positive impact on people. Thanks for all the great, very constructive feedback!

Subject: Hi {!name}, sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you. Ive had some problems?
{name},
First I’m going to tell you about some “video problems” I’ve had. Then I’m going to “make good” by offering some bonuses I’ve got for you.
It seems my list of subscribers is filling up so fast that when I sent my last preview link the other night, it created a mini rush.
I hadn’t checked how many subscribers had joined over the past 24 hours since sending out my the previous link. Anyway I sent so many people to view the video at once that it crashed.
If it effected you, I am so sorry. I know a lot of you went away and some haven’t had a chance to come back and see it yet.
Here is the link again for those who missed it
http://www.EventsListed.com/PreLaunch/guests-customers-communities
My apologies if you ran into a bunch of frustration the other night.
And by the way, the feedback about the last video has been GREAT. I mean, I thought it was good… but sometimes I’m so close to this stuff I’m just not sure. Well, I guess the verdict is in…
So here’s the next preview:
http://www.EventsListed.com/PreLaunch/networking-cross-selling-joint-ventures
Now for those of you who have not already done so and who want access to the application a month or two before the public you need to sign up under the video screen on the next page.
If your not sold on the idea can i just say this;
Do any of you know who are the foundation customers of Face Book?
No, its just become one of the best known brands in the world yet hardly anybody could tell you who the founder is let alone who the early customers were. Its kind of become this faceless, branded platform that is so full of people, networks and communities that its kind of empty and although intriguing for the first few weeks it becomes boring soon after.
Between you and I, oh and my boss of course, we want our platform to be steeped in culture, we want to develop a community that has a rich history of personalities held together by traditions and transparency.
To do this, all of our subscribers will need to be consistently reminded of three things.
1. Who our foundation customers were.
2. Who the best event promoters are.
3. Who the best fans are?
In other words “who the movers are”.
Best of luck,
Abigale
P.S. What if we wanted to promote our foundation customers as an inaugural part of the sites personality? Would you enjoy that or would your prefer to remain anonymous ?

Subject: {!name}, I wasn’t sure about releasing these videos?
OK {!name},
Keep this between the two of us. Initially I wasn’t sure about releasing these videos before the site was ready, but then I realized we couldn’t execute a big product launch, if no one has seen anything of the application…
You see, I know a lot of people in the event planning industry who already use web 2.0 sites to promote their events. Some may be asking themselves what’s all the hype about? Possibly they don’t believe that what we have built could be any different or can add any more value to what they already do.
Well, this campaign isn’t hype… you will not be able to do on any other site what you will be doing on this site when it launches.
You need to remember that this web 2.0 application was made for event planning, management and promotion. I have PERSONALLY worked on the application with a team of developers and designers and I am here to tell you, this site is going to do amazing things for not only event planners but for anyone wanting to share and commemorate special events in their lives.
This is why I have put together these preview videos. I know once the product launch begins people are going to have an opinion either way, it’s human nature, people want to be heard.
There will be a lot of people promoting this launch and I wanted to make sure you guys, the people on my list, get a good taste of what the product is before everyone in the industry starts talking about it.
Put simply, if you are a serious event planner, this product is not only going to save you a ton of time and money, it will enhance the experience of every attendee and it will turn customers into communities.
Here, check it out….
http://www.EventsListed.com/PreLaunch/guests-customers-communities
Look out for the networking, cross selling and joint venture preview video in a couple of days
Best of luck
Abigale
P.S. The comments on my blog have gone crazy since the first video went up. Lots of people are asking questions. This weekend I’m going to start working on a video for you which answers a bunch of those questions. I’ll let you know when I have that video ready to show you.
