Using Traffic Geyser To Manage Your Videos

Traffic Geyser has been specifically designed just for improving search engine rankings and is thus a useful tool to have. If the success of your business depends on how much traffic is directed to your sites, then consider Traffic Geyser an important investment in your marketing efforts.

* It bookmarks your video submissions automatically and creates podcasts to directories

* It help increase Google rankings by increasing your visibility

* It has a wide distribution to multiple video sharing sites. Almost as soon as you upload your video here, it directs it to all these sites for you.

To get people to visit your sites after watching your videos is important to measure the success of your video campaigns. You should (whenever possible) add elements of your brand (e.g. logo) to the screen, either throughout the video (in a corner) or at the end. This helps people remember your brand. The other thing that you should almost always do is show your URL and speak it out verbally as well. You should add your URL to the video description as well. This is where they can easily click to visit your site and learn more about your products or services.

If you have made the video well, then you probably have a call to action for the viewers. This can be anything from signing up to follow you, visit your website, buy your products, become members of your online community, subscribe to your blog or spread the video to their friends…

  • Simon,

Excellent tips to keep in mind that can easily be forgotten:

    1. put your logo in where it's unobtrusive

    2. Have website url at bottom of video

    3. Have clickable link in the video description.

    4. Title the video and tag it properly based on the keywords you're going after

The power of this video marketing strategy as Google is favoring video content is real. However, doing it all manually is no way to go and Traffic Geyser solves this problem. Firing a few links at each of these video pages is no sweat and as you've seen and others can duplicate can have a huge payoff even with a numer #1 ranking.

Great post about Traffic Geyser! Love the results as Traffic Geyser saves us time by using just one piece of software to reach so many. A key point here in the blog is how Simon went to the top of Google search. Awesome! Love your point about leaving audience in cliffhanger to be continued the following week as they will be back if great content! Your book "Social Traffic" is the best read that I have read to educate on how to use Social Traffic to get results! Thanks Simon for your work and leadership!

Simon, I just happened upon Traffic Geyser at a live event a couple weeks ago, very excited to get up and running with it as it is but now after reading your article I'm even more excited about it!

One thing I wish to improve on: I've made some video posts in the past and I've spoken my url however I want to also include them as text in the video as you suggested. Better for branding also. Thanks!

The think I like about this post is that it shows the synergistic results that flow from a well strategized combination of social media events. Videos posted to YouTube (and/or other highly ranked pages), and then linking to them in articles from other highly ranked pages, coupled with some third-party bookmarking activity, could really get the job done! It may be basic to others, but this is a break through understanding for me.
  • Whether you use Traffic Geyser or not, this article makes it very clear that the combination of several social media sites is a very powerful way of marketing your events. The combination of video, potcasts and social bookmarking is a social media strategy that is very powerful. As this article mentions you can be in the number one spot in Google within one hour!
The hard part is not which media to use, but it is the choice that determines how you set up your system, so that you can use several social media sites without duplicating your messages. Once you understand that this strategy is golden.
  • I agree Traffic Geyser is a great tool both for automation and exposure. With so much content on the net and Google constantly searching for new content to offer people, even with a good video marketing strategy and tools like Traffic Geyser it's important to recognise the volume of content your business needs to put out there to be seen. Like all good marketing, this is achieved by a consistent output across the whole social media landscape - with articles pointing to videos and blogs embeded with video content.

One question Simon, Does Google recognise and reward an article site like hub pages for example if a hub contains a video getting a lot of hits on YouTube?
  • One comment to add on using TG Simon..

There is an option to redistribute your video several times with this software over a period of time (4 weeks max I think). This is really useful as it can keep your content fresh for much longer and so the search engines will be more likely to pick it up in the results. One thing to keep in mind though is to change the description, headline and tags or keywords when resubmitting or your content will be viewed as duplicate by most of the sites.
Google will want your content to be unique but if you change the title and description by atleast 30% (40% to be safe) you should be able to distribute your content several times to numerous sites.

    Powerful stuff!
  • Google now have software that coverts audio into text which allows us to search by key words that are used in videos. Duplicate video content can be easily identified through words as it can in text documents and this product is live in Google labs. I introduced it in my Google open social video.

Changing headings etc may work against you because it looks like you're gaming the system. Publishing the same videos on different platforms is not duplicate content if the same author is publishing their video across 100 platforms. It's like a TV show being played on multiple channels across the world. Changing a shows title and description to make an audience think its a different show on different channels is what Google don't want.

It's only duplicate when different authors publish the same video across different platforms especially if heading and descriptions of a video are different yet the video is the same which they can tell by the words spoken in it.

That's why its important to use one user name across all video platforms.
  • Its never just one thing in isolation. Soc Med is just that - developing a compelling strategy by synergistically combining the Soc med that best serve your purpose in the moment.

Simon, so this is how it works! I like this it really show's how
simple it can really be if you are using the right tools. Thank
you Simon for always giving us the right tools and pointing us
    in the direction of SUCCESS.
  • What Simon Ford talks about here as he does in most of his articles is that there is no substitute to hard word. Either you do it yourself of you find a tool to do it for you. In this case he suggests to optimize the chances of increasing traffic as a result of your videos by doing some clever things with the video like including yr URL visually and verbally as well as always having a call to action.

Using a tool like TrafficGeyer facilitates the optimum traffic to your videos. So either you do the work yourself or use a great tool.
  • Simon you bring up a good point about having your video distributed and syndicated to all the various TV affiliates. This is basically what you're doing when you use a tool like traffic geyser to get you the maximum promotion and exposure for the video content you work so hard to create.

And it's amazing that Google has this type of audio conversion software working right now. Hopefully, it works better than those computerized customer service answering things which often misinterpret what you say and take you to the wrong menu. This is very frustrating when you want some help and could be even worse if your marketing videos are incorrectly decoded to text and placed in the wrong category or show up for the wrong search keywords.
