Traffic Through Cross Syndication

You can have 30 odd micro blogging platforms (like friendfeed.com, twitter.com - which offer an innovative way of merging, managing and sharing information), RSS feeds, News Alerts to cross syndicate posts throughout the web .

The interesting thing is how vastly these connected nodes help drive traffic to a certain word or link. For example, if you invent a word and search it up - it won’t exist on the net today. But if you send the word to your Hellotxt.com email address across such a intertwined network with 10,000 fans and followers, within less than 20 minutes you’ll get thousands of results on Google for that word. It just shows how vast the outreach of your network really is…

Event Launch Strategies: Traffic through Cross Syndication

Indeed, the cornucopia of microblogs that you can network with is mind boggling. And of course, it makes sense to learn the in-and-out strategies and tactics of the most relevant channels (i.e. hellotxt.com) that serve your online viral marketing campaigns that reach the targeted audiences you covet.

Simon U. Ford's 'Social Traffic' training course, provides the inside track to learning the dynamics of this fast-changing social media knowledge base relatively quickly.

  • The amazing thing is that Simon actually tests all of this stuff and so can talk about it with authority. I have observed this first hand in taking a new phrase, Word of Mouth Media and using these techniques on YouTube. I have to try the microblogging and email approach as well. Great fun all of this!
  • This post FIRES my brain with reference to my thoughts re: Grey Hair Matters. So much so, in fact, that I've purchased the phrase as a domain name. How perfect! It's just like Xerox (remember them?) and Kleenex (still going strong), or even 3M. NOBODY had a clue as to what those terms meant until it was used in manner that let everyone (basically) on the planet know what they were talking about. Of course, back then, when they were initializing their brands, they HAD to use their deep pockets to get the word out. We, however, are in a MUCH more fortunate position -- give Social Traffic Inc and Social Media!

YAY for the 21st Century and open, innovative collaborative minds!! WE are indeed Blessed.

Hi DeeJay, looking at "grey hair", I agree, I don't see a reason for you to NOT quite easily take the first place, or Sit, as we say here. :).

Hi Simon, you used the example of inventing a word, a word that currently doesn't show up in google today. However you can have it show up in Google within minutes after your cross promotion.

So, what do you think about branding? Meaning that if you used a word that people were already searching for in google that that would make it easier for them to find you, instead of using a word for your brand that people aren't currently searching for....but a word that you could essentially get into the search engines through your own cross promotion efforts.

Which would you go with? Thanks!
  • JoLynn, it depends on how competitive the phrase was. That said, if working as a team you can win any race for any phrase it doesn't matter. Go for the most competitive and enjoy the most traffic once you have won the race.
  • I had an idea on this last week and would totally like to put it in practice to see how it works. I hope I can fit it in on top of all the stuff for the launch.
